The Centre of Europe

The Centre of Europe

The
Idea
The sculpture was created at a symposium  in 1994 to the theme “The center of Europe”, run by Gintaras Karosas, dir. of Europos Parkas. My sculpture was designed with this theme in mind:
The Centre of Europe represents theme, thus CLOUD HANDS.  The central Russian stainless steel octahedron represents the man-made constructions of culture and government holding together
the different natural landmasses and environments that are the different cultures and countries of Europe.
(russian stainless steel, Ukranian granite)!!
