Within Europe there are no longer physical borders, and yet we see diverse cultures, a multitude of nationalities, religions, opinions and thoughts, etc. In short, within Europe we encounter a multitude of ideas. This diversity can lead to division, while unity, solidarity and connectedness are what make us strong as Europe.The sculpture is a column carved in relief all around with many heads, human figures and faces, young and old. Dozens of hands encompassing the block symbolize the connection and solidarity in the world of diversity.The image is symbolic. That’s how it should be. Unity in diversity.
