With his sculpture made of glass, mosaic and hand-carved figurative representations made of copper, the artist Gerd Frank shows his entire own perspective on Europe of the year 2019. Glass and mosaic works show the coherence of Europe, but the cohesion is divided. The once so wild bull, which led "the" Europe of antiquity through the countries, has shed it horns and stands up without strength the spot while Europe, represented here as a sexless figure, is still trying to spur on the bull. The wooden planks represent a section of the European flag, which has 12 stars. The meaning of the stars should originally stood for the values of UNITY - SOLIDARITY - HARMONY between the European peoples. The unit is divided. Unfortunately, solidarity is not far off and the harmony between the states only works selectively. Abroad we are all foreigners, but in Europe we are all Europeans...
