Idea

The stone we have choosen for our project had hidden cracks. When we tried to split it, the stone broke into 5 peaces. We had to leave our original plan and accept the breaks. Reflecting the current situation in the world, we decided to use this situation to give hope to all people, this moment living in a war situation or other difficult situations, that new conjunctions can create something new and even better. We polished the breaks and reconnected the peaces. Now the sculpture is a landmark in Åsgård, Kongspartvegen 41, 2337 Tangen, Norway created by Alfred Mevissen, Herbert Leichtle, Achim Ripperger supported by Prof. Andreas Kienlin.
