Idea

Migration and exchange have made Europe what it is today – a multicultural community open to change and transformation.

There has always been a lively migration of people who brought goods, but above all myths, religions, ideas and symbols to our homeland and shaped our values and ideals.

 Angel, lion, bull and eagle have thus found their way into our occidental world of thought as symbols of the four evangelists. Their mythical origin lies far back and they stand as symbolic figures for a universal imagery: e.g. in the myth of Europe (the woman after whom our continent is named) and Zeus as a bull, in the form of the heraldic animals, in old and new fairy tales around the world …
