I Pellegrini is currently a part of the collection of sculptures located outdoors spread around Pietrasanta, known as the Parco internazionale della Scultura Contemporanea di Pietrasanta. The sculpture is also an official rest area, with benches and water, of the Via Francigena, a pilgrimage route which runs from Canterbury, England to Rome. Thus the sculpture I Pellegrini, (The Pilgrims), is an abstract representation of two people walking together. viefrancigene.org/en/ During visits to this station of the Sculpture Path, visitors can also visit Studio Pescarella, Pietrasanta, and the Marble Quarries. I can point people on their way, (free) or give a tour of Pietrasanta, artist’s studios and quarries, for a fee.
