A monument as a “Vision for Europe”.
For me, hospitality is a great value for our European community. All those who flee war, oppression, hunger, violence and discrimination should be welcome in our Europe.
Aylan Kurdi, a little boy who drowned on his way to Europe and washed up on the beach, unfortunately could not experience hospitality. I see him as a symbol of the unfulfilled desire for freedom and security in “our” Europe.
